Creative thinking or critical thinking?

What is more important for students to learn? Thinking critically or thinking creatively?

Should we spreading our intellectual net wide and creating new ideas? Or narrowing down to the objective truth using logic and reason?

According to Professor Deb Brown at University of Queensland, we should be doing both.

In this lecture from the Science Learning Research Centre - Higher Education Learning Framework Seminar Series, Professor Brown explores how deep and meaningful thinking is the most important skill a young person can have.
